No sequoia will survive here. But I’ll try ![]()

Trip 2008!
Next month I will be visiting California again. My main (or only) focus on this trip is seeing and photographing the coastal redwoods and giant sequoias in springtime.
Show in Google Maps (USA2008.kml)
I used the following abbreviations for the trails:
- Montgomery Grove Trail (MONTGOMERY)
- Bull Creek Flats Loop (BULL-ROCK)
- Founders Grove (FOUNDERS)
- Rockefeller (BULL-ROCK)
- Trillium Falls Trail (TRILLIUM)
- James Irvine – Miner’s Ridge Loop (JIRN-FERN)
- Fern Canyon Loop (JIRN-FERN)
- Boy Scout Tree (BOYSCOUT)
- Stout Grove (STOUT)
Being a DSLR-virgin, I am not really sure how the photos will turn out. We’ll see!

In Love in the USA
I got married on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Only three weeks later I fell in love - again. This time with the Giant Sequoia trees of the Mariposa Grove.
This blog will be about the trees, not about my wife.
