Trip 2008!
Next month I will be visiting California again. My main (or only) focus on this trip is seeing and photographing the coastal redwoods and giant sequoias in springtime.

I used the following abbreviations for the trails:
- Montgomery Grove Trail (MONTGOMERY)
- Bull Creek Flats Loop (BULL-ROCK)
- Founders Grove (FOUNDERS)
- Rockefeller (BULL-ROCK)
- Trillium Falls Trail (TRILLIUM)
- James Irvine – Miner’s Ridge Loop (JIRN-FERN)
- Fern Canyon Loop (JIRN-FERN)
- Boy Scout Tree (BOYSCOUT)
- Stout Grove (STOUT)
Being a DSLR-virgin, I am not really sure how the photos will turn out. We’ll see!

Spring is my second favorite season in the redwoods.
I think autumn goint into winter is my favorite - maybe because I like rain a lot and work outdoors with trees.

There are some hefty trunks about 10 minutes down Mill Creek trail from where it meets Hiouchi trail. One needs to stroll slowly and pay close attention to how large the trunk boles in the background are, as they vanish into the forest floor area.
